Application Process for US universities

As an aspiring international student wanting to pursue higher education in the US, it is useful to get an overview of the application process for US Universities and colleges. If you want to study at a US university- for a bachelor or master’s degree, you should ideally start doing so 18 months in advance of your course commencement.

If you are applying for undergraduate programs, it is important to keep your high school transcripts handy. Similarly, for post graduate programs you will need your high school and graduation transcripts. 

You will also need to take qualifying exams such as the SAT, ACT,GRE, GMAT and English Language  proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS  depending on the program and school you are applying for, before completing the application form.
